I discovered “The Transmission” a fan produced Lost Podcast. Finally I can get more Lost info. It’s actually a very well done podcast, with recap, production info, discussion on the episode’s events, but the best part is the call in section, where they play people’s calls from their “lostline.” I love hearing all the theories, and all the stuff people pick up on. For me, it makes it much more enjoyable. Check them out, or find them on iTunes.
I found a number of things pretty interesting, after having listened to all their episodes:
- There are alot of influences, but apparently it draws heavily on Steven King’s The Stand, and a battle between good vs. evil.
- The writers have confirmed that Pergatory is NOT the nature of the island.
- They claim that there is a logical explanation for everything.
- They claim there are no mistakes or accidents in the writing. Which is to say that things you see and know are very intentional. (This has later been disproven, there have been discovered a couple, like seriously 2, continuity errors.)
- The Monster is NOT Nanite/Nanobot (as in Michael Crichton’s Prey) related.
I love knowing that the island is not pergatory, because there’s so much more to figure out. I can’t wait to see what the ‘logical’ explanations are for everyone surviving a plan crash of this type. If you know of other good Lost websites, send them along.
Oh yes, and I also was checking out The Hanso Foundation’s website. Kind of funny, they list 7 projects, one of which is about electromagnetism… all food for thought of course, but are there perhaps 7 bunkers? What’s your favorite theory?
